Mrs. Winckler & Mrs. Bennett’s Tenderfoot Class Announcements

We completed the Social Skills and Etiquette Badge in December and will complete the Dance badge this month. As a class, we fulfilled requirements 1, 2, 3, 4, & 6 for the Social Skills & Etiquette badge and requirements 1, 2, 3, 4 & 8 for the Dance badge. Please initial these requirements in your daughter’s book (if you joined after we had begun and would like to complete these badges, you may help your daughter complete them, as well), then have your girl bring her book to a meeting and I will sign them off.

If you have been working on additional badges outside AHG meetings, initial the requirements you fulfill and bring the book to me to sign off on. If you haven’t already notified Tonya of the additional badges you’ve been working on you still can have them signed off and announced at the Court of awards. The Troop’s badge “intention” form has already been turned in, so if AHG is out of the particular badge your daughter is working on it may be on backorder and not available, but it still can be announced at the Court of Awards in June. All badges that have been completed have to be signed off by May 4th. Any additional badges are $3 per badge.

At the end of March we will begin the Geology badge; it should be a lot of fun!

Our class now has 13 registered girls! We’ve moved our classroom upstairs so we have more room, and I need an extra set of hands or two during our class time. If you’d be able to stay once in a while or regularly, please let me know. I have a sign-up sheet that will be available today and subsequent weeks, until it’s filled up! I would prefer to have two parent helpers each week, but even one would make a big difference. Thanks!

If your daughters do any service hours outside AHG, they can still use it to earn their service stars. Let me know what the activity was and how many hours they worked. All community, charity, and volunteer work is counted, but housework and chores are not. Mrs. Davis has a sign-in record downstairs for tracking the Cookies for Kairos hours, but you can also email your Tenderfoot’s hours to me directly if you forget. If you baked or set-up for the Father-Daughter Ball, remember to count that time, as well.

I am enjoying this class and these girls; it is such a fun age. Thank you for being so diligent in bringing your girls; we have consistently had 100% attendance – that’s incredible!

K-2nd Tenderfoots: Etiquette Badgework

Mrs. Winckler’s Tenderfoot Squad has so far completed the first 3 requirements for the Etiquette & Social Skills Badge. If your daughter has missed a class or recently joined, please look over those requirements and help her complete them so all the class can receive the badge together. This week we will complete requirement 4: telephone manners.
